If you ever needed to find Aiden there were only two places to look that would almost guarantee to reveal him. Stairs and windows had kind of become his 'thing' over the last few years, even more so since he'd been at Black Forest.
When he'd first arrived there he'd hated that his family had thought that he needed to be there, and he didn't want anything to do with any one who was there. He spent most of his time alone either staring out of the window to glimpse the world beyond, or sitting on the stairs and drifting off into his thoughts. He didn't know what it was about stairwells that he liked so much. After all the years as a child of creeping down a few steps and peering around, trying to remain hidden, you'd think he would hate them...
Today, Aiden sat on his usual spot of the stairs and lucky, he wasn't disturbed. Though most were used to seeing him there most of the staff still tried to encourage him back into one of the rooms on his floor. Great.
As usual, Aiden couldn't help but wonder how much longer he would be in control for. It felt like he'd been himself for so long now that it was about time he was due to lose control. As much as he hated it, he knew that there was no stopping it when it happened. He just wished he had a little more control of knowledge of when it was going to happen. He couldn't help but wonder how long it was going to last the next time, and how much damage he'd be left to deal with.
He'd been so lost in his own thoughts that he hadn't paid any attention to the sounds of the doors opening. He wasn't alone in the stairwell anymore.
